I have been privileged to work with Garry Kozak on a number of projects over the last two decades, and I count him among the world's premier experts in side scan sonar operation and analysis. He combines practical know-how, operational expertise, and analytical skills in unusual measure, and can be counted on to solve the most challenging ocean search problems.  He has worked in diverse locations from tropical oceans to arctic ice caps, and can be relied on to overcome any obstacle. I have particularly valued his help in working to solve the mystery of the disappearance of Amelia Earhart, helping to interpret sonar imagery collected from nearly 4 miles deep.  His expertise in  distinguishing targets and assessing the effectiveness of our searches has been greatly appreciated.
